6. Z-Axis Assembly

Instructions

1. Prepare the inductive sensor by threading the sensor nut onto it until it reaches the end of the sensor, and add the lock washer.  Thread the inductive sensor through the back of the Z-axis assembly until the sensor bottoms out. Then, loosen the sensor by 1 rotation.  Secure the sensor in place using the pre-installed nut and washer.

2. Orient the Z-plus drag chain bracket so that the  flange is facing up, then securely install it onto the back of the Z-axis  using two (2) M5-10mm SHCS on the flange.

3. Securely thread one (1) M6 shoulder screw onto the back of the Z-axis assembly.

4. Install and leave loose one (1) M6 shoulder screw on the bottom of the X-axis gantry plate. Place the Z-axis assembly onto the X-axis gantry plate, hooking to the bottom M6 shoulder screw, then tighten the bottom M6 shoulder screw.

5. Install four (4) M6-14mm BHCS, tightly attaching the Z-axis assembly  to the X-axis gantry. 

6. Securely attach the Z-plus drag chain arm to the upper right corner of the Z-axis gantry using two (2) M6-14mm BHCS.
