MK3 Specifications
Included with your LongMill MK3
- Pre-assembled rails
- Electronics
- Power supply*
- Drivers and motors
Not included with your LongMill MK3
- Computer or laptop
- Router**
- End mills or bits
- Work surface (e.g. MDF sheet)
- Screw drivers, standard bits or drill for assembly
*Power supplies are dual voltage to accommodate 110V (North America) and 220V (International). If you’re using the LongMill MK3 in another country, you may need a plug adapter to accommodate the NEMA 5-15P plug.
**Routers we supply are 110V (North America).

Power Requirements
- The LongMill MK3 consumes 96W and runs off 110/220V, 24VDC 4A, Class 2 certified power supply
- The AutoSpin T1 Router consumes 800W at max load and runs off 110V (not compatible with 220V)
- The 1.5KW LongMill Spindle Kit consumes 1500W at max load and runs off 110V
Therefore we recommend at minimum two 15A 110V/120V circuits — one for the router/spindle and dust collection system, and the other for the machine and a computer.
If you live in a country with 220V/240V power, and wish to use the AutoSpin, you will need to use a transformer to convert to 110/120V.
Specifications
Motion System: T12 Lead screws on all X, Y, Z axes.
Linear Motion: 15mm profiled linear guide rails and bearing blocks on all axes
Drive Motors: High-torque NEMA 23 closed-loop stepper motors; 1.2 Nm on all axes.
Control System: SLB-LITE controller with grblHAL firmware.
Power Supply: Dual voltage 110V/220V, 24V DC 4A, Class 2 Certified.
Weight: Approximately 80lbs when assembled.
Spindle Mount: Supports both 65mm and 80mm spindles and routers. For 80mm spindles, cutting area will be reduced.
Electronics: 32-bit SLB-LITE controller running grblHAL firmware, with signal outputs to integrated driver stepper motors.
Operating temperature: Expect reliable operation between 5-30°C shop temperature (can be colder or hotter outside) as long as you give your machine time to acclimate to its environment to avoid cold-running or building up moisture on the electronics.
Operating humidity: Best results will occur from a balanced humidity, too high and you can expect the moisture to degrade or even short the electronics, cause higher dust buildup, and swell the MDF wasteboard whereas dry air can cause static charges to build up more easily, so a poorly grounded machine will experience electronic disruptions
Storage: All components have a wide operating temperature range such as -20 – 50°C for the stepper motors, -40 – 85°C for the control box, and -40 – 105 °C for the motor connectors. As long as the LongMill is kept stationary it can survive being stored at nearly any temperature as long as ambient humidity isn’t too high.
Materials capable of cutting:
-
Woods: Softwoods, hardwoods, plywood and MDF
-
Plastics: Acrylic, PVC, HDPE, Polycarbonate and ABS
-
Composites: Carbon Fiber, Dibond and ACM
-
Non-Ferrous Metals: Aluminum, brass and copper
-
Foams: High-density sign foam and insulation foam
