Instructions

Sensor Install

If your tensioning brackets came with sensors installed, skip to the next step.

1. Thread one (1) sensor nut and washer onto the inductive sensor.

2. Identify the two tensioning brackets. The right tensioning bracket has only one small flange. The left one has one large flange and one small flange.

3. Insert the sensor into the tensioning bracket. The blue tip of the sensor should face the same direction as the small flange.

4. Install the integrated bump stop over the blue tip of the sensor, threading it until it bottoms out. Use the pre-installed nut and washer to firmly secure the sensor onto the tensioning bracket.

Mount to Machine

1. Use four (4) M6-10mm BHCS to attach the tensioning bracket onto one (1) Y-axis drive assembly, mounting it onto the side with the pinion.

2. We will soon attach the drive assembly to the machine. Make sure you attach the assembly onto the correct side of the machine, based on the tensioning bracket you used.

3. Insert the custom M12 shoulder screw into the pivot hole on the Y-axis drive, so that the screw threads are on the same side as the pinion.

4. Insert the custom 12mm washer at the end of the M12 screw, with the widest face against the Y-axis gantry plate.

5. Tightly thread the M12 shoulder screw into the Y-gantry plate. The Y-axis drive assembly will pivot on the screw.

6. Secure the M5 cross dowel (barrel nut) into the back of the Y-axis gantry plate, then use a flathead screwdriver to orient the slot on the cross dowel, so it is vertical.

7. Put one one (1) tensioning spring onto one (1) tensioning screw from the threaded end.

8. Hold the Y-axis drive assembly to be horizontal along the Y-rail, then thread the assembled tensioning screw into the M5 cross dowel, from below the Y-gantry, until it bottoms out.

9. Repeat the steps for the other Y-axis drive assembly.
