Take the spindle mount with the spindle clamping bolts on the right side. Insert the two (2) shoulder screws into the top holes of the mount, aligning to the holes on the Z gantry plate. Insert two (2) M6-25mm screws into the bottom holes. Fully tighten all screws, starting with the shoulder screws.
Spindle mount installation
Flip the Z-axis assembly onto its side. Fasten the drag chain bracket onto the carriage backside using two (2) M5-10mm socket head screws.
Securely attaching drag chain bracket onto Z carriage
Place an inductive sensor through the rear of the Z-axis assembly, so that the sensor end is flush to the front of the X carriage face, just behind the ball screw.
Then, install a flat hex nut at the front, threading this on as much as you can with one finger to secure the sensor. Make sure you’re only rotating the front nut, and not the entire sensor or the rear nut. Ensure that the face of the sensor remains flush with the plate surface.
Inductive sensor install on X carriage plate
Grab one M6 shoulder screw and loosely install into the back of the Z carriage plate.
